Hello, my name is Jordon Pafford. I am the father and coach for ANSR Outdoors.

In Winter 2014/2015, our oldest daughter, Alexys, saw Disney's "Brave" as well as The Outdoor Channel's "Raised Hunting", and loved the idea of being able to provide food for yourself. She expressed interest in going out to see what it was about, so I picked a day and took her out coyote hunting. That day a snowstorm came in and dumped a foot of snow, followed by massive cold, I think it was single digits that day. She insisted that we still go, so we did. We stayed out for I think a total of an hour, she loved every shivering second.

That next spring, she asked for a bow, and from that time forward she has been attached to it. She has moved up, tuned, changed, fiddled, learned and practiced like a crazy person. She uses it every chance we give her, including for any homeschool curriculum she can. She is obsessed with shooting and hunting. We started out by watching hunting shows and learning about bow hunting. She has been practicing since she got her first bow in 2014, first as a spotter and then setting her sights on her own harvest which is still evading her.

In the meantime, the kids started an amateur sports team and named it ANSR (said like Answer) Outdoors, which stands for Alexys, Nadylie, Scarlytt, and Rykor Outdoors.

Alexys (or Lexy) loves shooting at this point she can shoot anything and everything - archery, rifle, shotgun, even her mom's .45acp pistol! In addition she is really enjoying spending time riding her dirt bike.

Nadylie used to be our main photographer but has taken more and more shine to the shooting sports and is a born natural at riding her dirt bike.

Scarlytt likes long range shooting, and is getting into shooting more often! She had a rough start to riding dirt bikes and can still be content going shooting instead (her sisters have trouble deciding their favorite outdoors sports and it changes by the day!)

Rykor enjoys playing outside and has recently acquired a liking for trying to shoot and attempting to ride his dirt bike but only with training wheels, and the screw in.

Watching them organize a team and help each other prompted us to try and start at least taking pictures while we practice, and led to buying a camera to try our luck. Filming our hunts has been mixed to say the least, on one side of it we have been able to capture our family hunting and just spending time together. As for actual footage of animals and encounters, that has not been, well, existent. 2017 turkey season was our first time filming, it really did not turn out. We have scraped together a better camera and are slowly setting up while we all ate tag sandwiches for turkey substitute and only my wife, Jessica accomplished her goal of a harvest during deer season 2017.

These failures set Lexy on the path to study, watch, ask, and learn techniques for deer. She has directed me in setting stands, building food plots, building blinds, scouting, and preparing for this season. She loves learning and trying different things.

I like to hunt, but I have realized I like helping them learn, plan, and expand on their dreams plus watch them meticulously plan, including their trials and errors is where the real fun lies.

Alexys also loves to participate in an ambassador capacity to help get the word out about companies she likes to use while she shows that little kids can do amazing things, if they simply try. At this point, the kids are 11, 9, 7 and a half, and 6. They have been shooting for literally as long as they can remember, some of them carrying a bow before they were potty trained! And yet they come across constant doubt that they can do these things. This is why we decided to let them run a Facebook Page and Instagram account. Of course we watch it and keep them safe, but they love to prove kids can do this and her way of doing it is to use items willing to associate with her.

Thank you for your time, please write us with any questions!
